Pacific Molded Technologies is a high volume Powder Coat Painting shop
located in the San Fernando Valley. Our experienced painters, sandblaster,
and prep personnel give you, our customer, unsurpassed quality. With
our recent addition of a high capacity, high throughout oven, we can
handle the big and the small of your requirements.
What is Powder Coating
Powder coating is a painting process that uses powder paint that is baked
on. This process gives a finish that is tough, long lasting, and beautiful.
This process is being used more and more as people realize the cost saving
is potential. Because the paint is baked on, it will resist cracking,
rusting, chipping, and peeling and it won’t need to be painted
again for years to come.
Before we paint, we prepare the surface of the part by sandblasting it.
This will remove any rust and oxidation that the part may have and will
give it a textured surface that the paint can adhere to. While others
charge extra for sandblasting, with us, it’s included.
What Can Be Powder Coated
Nearly any metallic part can be coated. Aluminum, steel, stainless steel,
and many others for example, can be coated. Whatever condition your part
is in, you’ll be amazed at how good it looks with powder coat paint.
Patio furniture, work equipment, frames, bikes…if it’s steel
or aluminum, it can benefit from a good coating of powder paint.
Our oven heat output is rated at 1.5 MILLION BTU per hour, and can handle
anything as large as 8’ x 8’ x 24’. That’s a
lot of heat and volume capacity for any particular job. Our skillful
painters and sandblasters can handle the smallest details with precision.
No job is too small.
Metallized
Coatings
Pacific Molded Technologies is moving into Metallized
Coatings. A unique process of placing a layer of sacrificial metal (typically
aluminum or zinc) on your equipment, frames, structures or components
that will give unprecedented corrosion protection and longevity to your
equipment. Couple that with powder coating and you have an extremely
tough, durable, long lasting part that looks great. You can expect 30
years or more of corrosion free protection. Cost savings never before
matched.
